Evan Matthews is the owner of an antique store that he inherited from his grandfather. The store is called Little Mysteries. Most of the merchandise is magical in nature although not all of it is antique.
Evan's parents were killed by a drunk driver when he was two years old. He was in the car at the time but luckily only suffered minor injuries. He was raised by his grandfather from that point on.
Evan has been studying magic and magical creatures using books since his grandfather proved to him that magic was real. His grandfather had given him a paw pendant which allows him to take on the form of any animal he chooses so long as he wears it. He loves to read and does a great deal of research, therefore he doesn't go very far without his reading glasses. There's a portal to the nexus in the alley in back of the shop to allow customers to come and go. In fact, he quite often will close the shop when some of the stranger looking customers portal in so that they can shop in peace.
Evan has lived in a large apartment above the shop for over a year now, since he started helping with the store. His grandfather had realized that Evan needed space of his own and what better place for him than above the shop where he could be close to work. Evan's grandfather passed away of natural causes about a month before Evan arrived in the nexus.
Evan loves to swim and rollerblade and works out a few times a week to stay in shape. He also enjoys spelunking. He loves celtic and classical music and plays two instruments, the tin whistle and the bodhran. He's also learning the fiddle and wants to learn the bagpipes.
He stands 6'1" and wears a size thirteen shoe.
